What is COBOT?

• Cobot is a domain-specific community based agent recommender that provides socio-semantic recommendations in the conversation. Cobot extracts semantics from conversations, deciphers users' intent in conversations and recommends top documents (extracted from web search and previous pool of recommendations) and other conversations. Cobot also proactively matches most suitable users from the community for this conversation and recommends them to participate in this conversation. Cobot learns user profiles and preferences by observing user's conversational participations, clicks and ratings on conversations, documents and users. Cobot currently uses medical ontologies such as UMLS and educational domain tags extracted from StackOverflow data for it's concept mapping system.

• Try out the cobot recommendation script using our greasemonkey browser plugin that works on Firefox 5 (Linux, Mac). While you ask questions and get help from others in the community, cobot engine also retrieves semantically relevant recommendations from web and other conversations. It also shows some people from the community that cobot finds suitable for participation in this conversation. If you get recommended in someone else's conversations and you are using this script, cobot sends you an instant notification.
